A long while ago I got a random email like many others, from some band I had never heard of asking if I'd carry their record. Normally I like to give every band a chance, but the description of their release made me especially interested. They mentioned it was clear, 1-sided, and screened on the other side, with a lyric sheet folded into an origami bird. While some bands use gimmicks to sell things, I got the impression any band willing to put THAT much time into their packaging was definitely worth checking out. I was right. 300 copies later, that 12" was out of print. Kids were buying it on ebay for almost $20 merely 4 or 5 months after it had been released.
Cut to a few months later, I asked if I could release a cd version to make it more available, since I really enjoyed the music on it. The band asked if I'd rather release a repress of the vinyl, and I was even more excited about that idea. And here it is!
Six songs that will leave a big impression on you. Passionate, emotionally charged screamy hardcore from Iowa that is so sincere you can practically feel the urgency coming off the vinyl and slapping you on the ass. A great record, who's musicians I've gotten to know a little bit better, and who deserve all the credit in the world for being hard working dudes with their hearts in the right places. I'm not going to make band comparisons, as I don't want to water it down to that. Just check out the mp3. It's very much worth your 3 minutes.
